Oh, what a delightful stay we had at the Bottles Lodge during our Christmas getaway! Nestled right in the heart of town, this charming lodge was a cozy retreat with the added bonus of being next to the bustling Dirty Bottles Inn. After a long day at a local wedding, we truly appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, who whisked our luggage away while we savored a lovely cuppa in the lounge-complete with a real coffee machine and biscuits that felt like a hug in a mug. The layout of the lodge was a bit quirky, but that only added to its charming appeal. Our living area was spacious enough for my family of four, which made for a welcome change from squeezing into a standard hotel room. We absolutely loved the modern yet homely feel, and those comfy beds were the cherry on top! Breakfast was a standout moment, with my full Irish breakfast hitting the spot and my husband raving about the kippers. The festive, Harry Potter-themed restaurant added a delightful twist to our morning routine. Plus, having immediate access to shops, cafes, and Alnwick Gardens made our stay incredibly convenient-perfect for an adventurous family like ours. The Bottles Lodge is a gem for anyone exploring this lovely part of Northumberland, and with its fair pricing and great amenities, we can't wait to return. I'd highly recommend it to fellow travelers who appreciate that cozy, home-like atmosphere while still having everything at their fingertips. Cheers to more adventures ahead!
